Ruth Solana obtained a degree in Medicine from the University of Navarra in 2001. Later on, she received specialty training in paediatrics and in particular in paediatric cardiology in La Paz Infant Hospital, endorsed by the Spanish Society of Congenital Heart Disease and Paediatric Cardiology. In 2012 she received a fellowship and worked in the paediatric cardiology intensive care unit in Newcastle upon Tyne, UK. In 2011, she finished her doctoral thesis in Medicine at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, receiving a distinction "cum laude". Currently working at the University Hospital Infanta Leonor (HUIL) as secretary of the Innovation Committee and coordinator of the 2018 and 2019 HUIL Seminars on Innovation in Health Sciences.
