Javier Pascau

Javier Pascau is an associate Professor in the Department of Bioengineering and Aerospace Engineering at Carlos III University of Madrid since 2011. Before joining UC3M, he was a researcher at the Image Laboratory of the Gregorio Marañón Hospital in Madrid, where he also directed the digital radiology implantation project.
His current research interests include the clinical and preclinical quantification and registration of multimodal images, as well as the guidance of surgical interventions through the combination of positioning devices and imaging studies. He has published more than 45 papers in indexed journals, a book and various contributions in engineering and medicine congresses. As a principal researcher, he has led projects of competitive calls for evaluation of health technologies, public-private collaborations, national research plan geared to societal challenges and technological development and the Era Net FP7 consortium. He collaborates with different international groups in the line of image-guided treatments, having completed a 6-month research stay in 2014 at the Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, USA.
