Iván Martínez is deputy director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at UPM. For more than 13 years, he has been involved in Innovation & Entrepreneurship programs at this university. He has advised more than 80 research teams and entrepreneurs. He co-founded UPM Tech Innovation Program. This program has identified and assessed more than 150 technologies and has contributed to closing sales agreements of technology at a national and international level. He has been involved in EIT Health projects – acceleration pillar from UPM part (7 education & acceleration programs for EIT). He has participated in providing technology intelligence and innovation services for both public and private entities, and participated in european projects within this area as well. Occasionally, he teaches I&E subjects at UPM, EIT, Madrid region, or in-company programs. Previously, he worked in technology consulting companies such as Indra and Thales. He holds a MSc in Telecommunication Engineering and a MBA both from UPM.
