Arturo Pérez Mulas is a radiation protection expert working for the Spanish Nuclear Safety Council since 2008. He is in charge of the licensing, evaluation and inspection of radiation related medical facilities. He is a physicist by the Universidad de Salamanca and holds three masters in Theoretical Physics, in Nuclear Engineering and in Biophysics from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. From 2005 until 2010 he was a guest lecturer in Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, teaching on Systems Safety and Reliability and Probabilistic Safety Analysis at Undergraduate and Graduate courses. He also worked as a Senior Consultant on Nuclear Power Plants Reliability in the Energy Research, Inc company, and his main Main activities and responsibilities were the evaluation and development of Probabilistic Safety Analysis of Swiss nuclear power plants for HSK (Swiss Nuclear Regulator). He is a founding member of Makespace Madrid, the first free and independent fablab/makerspace/hackspace in Madrid that was created in 2013.
